Svend White

Svend White is pursuing a master?s degree in Islamic Studies. Having grown up in a typical Danish-American Muslim family in Boston during the 1980s, Svend White has always had an acute interest in interfaith dialogue, democracy-promotion initiatives in the Muslim world, and reforming his own nation?s often woefully counterproductive foreign policies. He worked for nearly a decade as an Information Technology consultant in Washington DC while moonlighting in various Muslim-related initiatives before returning to pursue an advanced degree in Islamic Studies. He has been published on contemporary Islamic thought and the experiences of Muslims in Western societies. He is married to Shabana Mir (of Koonj. fame), with whom he has a beautiful daughter, Raihana. His blog is Akram?s Razor.
