Sara Jaye Hart received her PhD in Religion and Literature from Boston University and teaches Religious Studies at Humboldt State University, on the redwood coast of far-northern California. She is the proud daughter of a Marine combat veteran and the President of California’s American Legion Auxiliary Unit 274, through which she manages service learning projects with high school and college students, veterans, and community members.
