Kristin Kobes Du Mez is a professor of History and Gender Studies at Calvin University. Her book Jesus and John Wayne: How White Evangelicals Corrupted a Faith and Fractured a Nation, has just been published with W.W Norton’s Liveright Publishing. Her work has appeared in the Washington Post, Daily Beast, Religion News Service, Christianity Today, and Christian Century.
