Candace West is a Brooklyn-based writer whose work has appeared online (PopMatters.com) and in print (Joss Whedon: The complete Companion, Titan Books and Icons of the American Comic Book: From Captain America to Wonder Woman, Greenwood Icons). She taught ethics, religion, and critical thinking at Stanford University before leading the Social Science Research Council’s program on religion and the public sphere and serving as the managing editor of The Immanent Frame.
