Brian Rainey

Brian Rainey is Assistant Professor of Old Testament at Princeton Theological Seminary. He received a Ph.D. in Religious Studies from Brown University and a M.Div. from Harvard Divinity School. His research and writing focuses on constructions of race, ethnicity, peoplehood and the interpretation of the Hebrew Bible. His recent book is Religion, Ethnicity, and Fear of or distaste for people or ideas thought to be strange or foreign. Often fomented to build support for anti-immigrant measures.
