David Krueger

David Krueger is an independent scholar, author, and educator based in Philadelphia who writes about American religious history, violence, myths of origin, and popular religious culture. He received a ThM from Princeton Theological Seminary and a PhD in religion from Temple University. He is the author of Myths of the Rune Stone: Viking Martyrs and the Birthplace of America (University of Minnesota Press, 2015). He is also a radio host with Marginalia Review of Books and serves as a deacon at the Arch Street United Methodist Church in Philadelphia.
